| Online Casinos Should be Allowed | | 27 Jul 2006 | Firstly, online casinos are such fun. Online casinos bring fun and excitement to the lives of many people who enjoy many pleasurable hours in front of their home computers playing any one of the many fabulous games that are on offer at online casinos. Online casinos players can choose from blackjack, roulette, baccarat, keno, slots and poker – to name just a few.
Secondly, completely banning online casinos is a virtual impossibility. Online casinos fans mainly play their favorite games in the privacy of their own home and they will continue to do so even if it is against the law, and nobody will be able to stop them. Trying to ban online casinos is an invasion of privacy, trying to dictate to people what they can and cannot do in their leisure time in their own homes.
Thirdly, I believe that this attempt at banning online casinos will certainly lead to making online casinos more popular, because more and more people will want to try them out just because they are curious and want to know what all the fuss is about (this means that the attempt at banning could be seen as positive advertising for the online casino industry). These governments that are trying to make online casinos illegal should also be aware that when an industry becomes illegal, it becomes exposed to unsavory elements like organized criminals, underage gambling and unmonitored obsessive gambling. Governments need to learn that in order to control an industry, it needs to be exposed and examined.
